Title: Can’t Take the Sky from Me

Description/Notes: A SHINee AU set in the Firefly verse, although you’ll see some other scifi influences (I swear, no Jedi) in there as well. Primarily JongKey, with side 2Min and JoonYu. Also, random Jonghyun pairing that I’m pretty sure has never existed in the history of fanfiction, but not at all the primary pairing. Knowing Firefly isn’t really necessary to understand the plot, but it will help to understand the importance of some of the Browncoat/Alliance references. There’s a slight reference to Serenity (the movie) in here, but it should be vague enough that you shouldn’t be spoiled, if you haven’t seen the film yet.

Title: Can’t Take the Sky from Me
Rating: PG-13 (as of now)
Description/Notes: So this story started with me turning to my roommate while bashing my way through a scene from That Which is Lost (here or here) and saying, “I want to write a JongKey fic” because I had just read the awesomeness that is Mikssi (here or here). Somehow, I honestly don’t quite know how, this became known as “Your story” to my roommate, and all pairings that weren’t JongKey or 2Min came from her warped twisted mind. I don’t know where the Firefly came from, except that I worship at the altar of Joss Whedon and Firefly is incredible, so if you’re familiar with the show, you’ll notice echoes, with Jonghyun being some sort of mixture between Mal and Jayne and little Taemin as Kaylee. Key is our resident Simon. Title, obviously, comes from the theme, which if you haven’t heard is here, for your viewing/listening pleasure. It doesn’t really follow the plot, so if you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s not really a big deal, but I suggest you rectify it immediately. Firefly can (and should) be bought, or watched on Netflix.
Regardless, I’ve posted three previews on AFF, just to give a taste of it.
